2010 Annual Report
"In 2010 our company positively responded to the economic challenges we faced
and we made progress toward improving our financial results. We are working to
return Arkansas Best to healthy, profitability levels. The business environment
is getting better and there are signs of encouragement throughout our company. As
we close 2010, it is refreshing to experience growth in revenues at ABF from both
improving daily tonnage levels and better prices. The progress we made in 2010
comes from the hard work of our people and their consistent adherence to the
traditional principles and standards that have successfully guided us in the past.
Despite the challenges we face as a company, we have improved our LTL customer
service offering by being more efficient. Our customers appreciate what we do best
and, once again, are more often willing to pay for the value that we offer. We
have positioned our company to capitalize on the opportunities that are ahead of us."
